Blythe Cupcake Hat - Crochet Instructions

Comments

Thanks for posting this. You are very generous! :-)
Now if only I knew how to crochet, LOL...tried making a scarf once and it came out all wrong. I can't catch on to the increase/decrease thing. I need to find one of those "For Dummies" books.
Is this for Neo Blythe or a Petite Blythe? I started one but it looked a little small for my Neo Blythes... I guess I should try it with a thicker yarn?
Hi,
It's for Neo Blythe. The pattern starts out with just the band around her head, and later in the pattern the cupcake top is added. Maybe that's why it seems small?

Is there any chance or way to adapt this pattern to make a hat for a cute enuff to eat little 3 mo old granddaughter http://sophiamadeo.blogspot.com/ ?? She isn't old enough for a Blythe yet, but would look really cute in this! Great design!

Oh that little cutie must have a cupcake hat!

Actually, it is very easy to adjust. When crocheting the headband part of the hat (rows 2-35 and 36), add enough rows so that it will fit comfortably around your adorable granddaughter's head. It will then be sewn together to form the band of the hat. You can then follow the pattern as written. I'd love to see pictures when it's done!
So in theory, I could increase the headband part to even be big enough to fit an adult?
Absolutely you could. Just add enough chains at the beginning to make a wide enough band, maybe 25 or 30.
