Where should I advertise?

As many of you know, I'm slowly trying to grow my business, Suncatcher Eyes. I've tried advertising in a few places with limited success. Craftster advertising has done well for me, but Google AdWords has not (obviously can't target my small audience that way). Does anyone have any suggestions where I might be able to advertise that would target soft toy, plush, and bear makers? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I read 'The Budget' every week, a national Mennonite and Amish newspaper out of Ohio. They have a large classified section and a bunch of ads throughout the paper. There would HAVE to be some kind of market among "plain people" for doll eyes. If you would like, PM me with your address and I can send you a copy to get a feel for the paper, or I think you can order just one copy from their website. There's plenty of small businesses advertising on there (although i'm sure most are Anabaptists).

i'm not sure if they do advertising, since i've only been to the website a handful of times, but have you thought of etsy.com? i'm sure there are people there who would be interested.

I think that you're on the right track - I recently saw someone post something very positive about Suncatcher Eyes on one of the amigurumi communities on LJ. If you haven't already, maybe you should think about promoting more on other blogging communities? You'll probably reach a large audience, and it won't cost you anything.

Just as a general comment... I wish I could have 'zoomed' pictures of your eyes and perhaps more examples of them on your cute toys so I can see a color I might hesitate about in use..

I think it might make more customers confident about buying from you if they could examine them closely.

Yes I have... I just personally thought the pictures were too small and it would be nice to have some that were about 300 or more pixels wide... ideally 500ish? I just can't decide which color I would choose over another with small pictures... perhaps I am rather quirky?

It isn't offensive at all! I appreciate your view very much. I had actually made the photos smaller so the site didn't look cluttered. I'll go play with it some more.

I am looking for ads for our next issue of Loom Knitters Circle, I was going to work on some Amigurumi figures knit on knitting looms, and am looking for a good sourse for eyes, I IM'ed you on Ravelry (Sorka) let's talk!!

Also I was thinking about advertising on Ravelry.. it couldn't hurt and their rates seem reasonable!
