Materials:
Sport weight or light worsted weight yarn
Size U.S. D3 crochet hook
Yarn needle
Instructions:
Make 2
Row 1: Ch. 4, 1 sc in 2nd chain from hook and next two chains. Ch. 1, turn.
Rows 2-5: 1 sc in the back of each sc across. Ch. 1, turn.
Row 6: 1 sc in the back of each sc across. Do not ch. 1.
Row 7: Working up one side of rows, 1 sc in each row space (7 st). Ch. 1, turn.
Rows 8-9: 1 sc in each sc across. Ch. 1, turn.
Row 10: 1 sc in each sc across. End, leaving a long tail for sewing.
Finished piece before sewing.
Using a yarn needle, weave in and out the top row of stitches and pull yarn tight to gather stitches together to close the top of the mitten.
Continue sewing down the side of the mitten, making sure the sides are held together evenly. Finish off. Weave in ends.
