My mom taught me and my best friend how to knit when we were about 5 years old. We would have knitting races to see who could get the most done before bedtime. If there was a mistake, even if it was rows and rows back, she would unravel it back to that point for me to do over. I got mad at her more than once for that! But it taught me a lot.
Anyway, I found a lovely camel color of Paton's Shetland Chunky in a craft store the other day, and this cute pattern was next to it:

The Humphrey amigurumi crochet pattern is now available for purchase in my Etsy shop and at Suncatcher Eyes.
These are so much fun to paint. I've added new Suncatcher safety eyes to my shop. So if you make crocheted or knit toys, plushies, or dolls, check them out. I only have 12mm and 15mm (a little under and a little over 1/2 inch) in stock, but I can get just about any size on request. Other sizes will only take about an extra week to ship, with ordering and painting.

I saw this yarn in the LYS today and couldn't resist. It's so pretty and shiny in person. Guess who got the first bamboo sweater? Blythe, of course. Here it is, complete with working buttons and little buttonholes in the front:
