What did you think about it? My oldest son didn't like it because it started out writing off two of the best characters. My youngest thought it was really good.
I'll be watching it today while I do my mandatory afternoon of laying around resting my back.
UPDATE: The beginning of the movie was a bit of a downer. Losing one character was bad enough, but writing the other one out with even the slimmest chance he could ever come back for another Indiana Jones was just stupid. Other than that, it was an okay movie. It didn't quite live up to the old Indiana Jones films though.
I received a wonderful surprise in the mail yesterday. I get Blockbuster videos in the mail, and I guess I added this one to my queue a long time ago: How to Steal a Million with Audrey Hepburn and Peter O'Toole. What a charming, delightful, funny, and wonderful movie! I love movies from that era. This movie was actually made the year I was born.
Not only is the story itself wonderful, but the acting is excellent, and the wardrobe and scenery are a visual treat. Check out that little car and the purple staircase.
I can't believe someone wrote this, other people acted in it, and now it's actually on TV right now. What is the genre of this movie anyway? Is there such a thing as a D movie? Maybe it fits into the bad Saturday morning TV show category.
I will admit that the first Puppet Master movie was creepy and freaked me out. Some bad horror movies are actually funny to watch, but after 15 minutes of this one, I have to change the channel. Sorry Corey.
I watched the movie Barnyard with my son last night. It was very funny, and there were parts that made us laugh til we cried. But... actually two "buts". Male cows do not have udders. It's just wrong. It's like that Easter commercial where the bunny is clucking like a chicken. The other thing that bothered me was the animals' skins were just too smooth, like they were made with polymer clay or something. OK, fine, three "buts". When the coyotes attacked the father, there was no blood at all. No wounds, no blood, nothing. Was that to make it more kid friendly? Sure, six wolves attacking a cow isn't disturbing at all, especially if the cow is one of the main characters. Um... huh? Note to the filmmakers: It was disturbing for kids anyway, blood or not.
If you're not too picky about details, Barnyard is a funny movie.
