We have lots of crows out where we live. There is a corn field out back and lots of farms on our road. They don't bother anyone, unless you forget and leave a garbage bag outside. They love to tear into them and spread garbage everywhere.
This is what happened in my yard sometime last night. They're busy birds:
It was so nice to get up this morning to a plowed driveway and start my car to warm it up. I have to admit I was a bit panicky yesterday when I was snowed in.
Another strange thing happened today. I woke up before my alarm clock went off ... at 5:15 a.m.! Never thought that would happen. So I'm wide awake and ready for work this morning :D It's going to be a good day.
It's 6:18 in the morning, and I'm still waiting for the the plow guy to plow my driveway. I'm totally snowed in with 3- to 4-foot snowdrifts on my 200-foot driveway. Yeah, I'm really snowed in. He's new this year, so I'm hoping he's just waiting for daylight. When I called yesterday, he told me he plows through the night. I even told him what time I leave for work in the morning. If he's going to charge me $40 to plow my driveway, he better show up!
Just 30 more minutes, and I'll have to call in late to work. It's only my second week! Arghh!

This is my favorite time of year. The leaves have changed and now the trees are shades of gold and orange. There's a chill in the air so I can wrap up in my favorite sweaters and afghan. There is nothing like the clean smell of the air in the morning when the frost is still on the ground. Best of all, it'll snow soon!
From now until Halloween, I just love all the scary movies on TV.
It's snowing! Woohoo! Can you tell this is my favorite time of year? I can't wait til the ground is covered in snow and everything is white.
Ok maybe I'm getting prematurely excited. It's sort of sputtering rain and snow at the same time. But it's still white stuff from the sky!
